“Spectres of Venice”

Carnival is over and all streets are empty. Masks are stored away in closets and drawers but they are alive. Having “devoured” pieces of every masquerader's soul, they are now the living, breathing projections of his inner self. Every mask tells its own silent tale, reflecting everything that it has “seen and witnessed” during the Carnival days, among crowded piazzas, mysterious alleys, abandoned buildings and dark rooms. The Spectres of Venice “feed” upon decadence and romanticism, melancholy and sorrow,. They feed upon the night and all its wonders...
